Yarelis: Mommy, abuela Titi is in the sky?
Mommy: Yes, baby.
Yarelis: And does she sleeps?
Mommy: Yes, sweetie.
Yarelis: In a bed?
Mommy: Maybe.
Yarelis: Are the clouds hard?
Mommy: No baby, why?
Yarelis: How come abuela Titi doesn't fall from the sky?
Mommy: One day you will understand baby girl, but no she will not fall from the sky.
Yarelis: Did abuela Titi wanted to go to the sky?
Mommy: No baby, that was a decision that God made because He needed her in the sky.
Yarelis: Is she watching us?
Mommy: Yes baby.
Yarelis: Like God that watches us all the time, but He doesn't sleep, right?
Mommy: Right!
This conversation made smile....sweet innocence.
On another note, here is some food for the soul:
There was a professor very compromised and strict, but also known by its students as a comprehensive and just man. A day of summer, upon finishing the last class of the course and while organizing some documents over his desk, one of his students approached him in a defiant form and told him: "Professor, what makes me more glad about finishing this class is that I will not have to listen more to your foolishness; and I will be able to rest, at last, and not see that boring face." - The student was standing very straight up and with an arrogant appearance waiting for the teacher to react offended and uncontrolled. The professor looked at the student for an instant, and in a very passive form he asked him: - When someone offers you something that you don't want, do you receive it? - The student remained unconcerned by the unexpected question, for which the boy answered again in a scornful tone: "Of course not". - "Good" - continued the professor - "when someone tries to offend me or tell me something unpleasant he/she is offering me something; in this case, an emotion of rage and grudge, which I can decide not to accept." - I don't understand to what are you referring to" - the student said confused - "Very simple," - said the professor - "you are offering me rage and contempt and if I feel offended or I get furious, I will be accepting your gift and I, my friend, in truth prefer my own serenity as a gift." - "Boy" - the professor concluded in gentle tone - "your rage will pass, but don't try to leave it with me because I have no interest in it. I can not control what you carry in your heart, but of me depends what I carry in mine."
Each day, in every moment, you can choose what emotions or feelings you want to feel in your heart and what you choose to feel is what you will, until you decide to change it. God gives us the liberty to choose what we want to feel: bitterness or happiness. YOU DECIDE!
Thank you everyone for letting me share.
