Hello and happy Monday. As you know Mondays we have a new challenge up at Apron Strings and this week challenge is to use the faux stitching technique. Go check it out and play along for a chance to win a yummy cookie treat. I made this card using a digi from CC Designs that I purchased at All That Scraps...papers are from the Jolly by Golly collection of Cosmo Cricket. Below is the inside of the card.

Thanks for stopping by. Tomorrow I'll share some pictures of my weekend getaway with hubby celebrating our 10th year anniversary.

Happy Thankgsiving!!!

O Lord, with humble hearts we pray
Thy blessing this Thanksgiving Day
And ask that at table place,
Where grateful folks say words of grace,
That Thou will come to share the yield
Thy bounty gave to farm and field.
We pray thy love will bless, O Lord,
Each hearth, each home, each festive board;
And that Thy peace will come to stay
Where candle glows, Thanksgiving Day

By: Brian F. King

Here's a LO of last year's Thanksgiving. This LO was done for this week's challenge over at Apron String which is to make a thankful/Thanksgiving LO or card.

Today and every day of my life I thank the Lord for giving me so many blessings...I can't even count them. I may not have a fancy house, instead I live in a rented apartment....but I have a home. I may not have a fancy car....but I have four wheels that drive me and the kids around. I may not have everything I want...but I sure have food in my table every single day. I may not be beautiful in the outside....but I sure have a precious heart. I may cry for heartaches from time to time...but I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I may not have on this Earth all the people that I love....but I'm surrounded by their spirit and memories. I sure have everything I need in my life: my family and the eternal love of God.
Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours,

Happy Holidays!!!!

I can't believe that Christmas is just around the corner. It seems like yesterday that I was welcoming 2009. What is wrong with time???? If only I could stop it for a second. Sigh!

Well, here's a Christmas card where I used a digi stamp from CC Designs that I purchased at All That Scraps. I paired her up with som Basic Grey Eskimo Kisses DP that I purchased from 7kidscollege fund, and a ribbon from my stash and voila. Simple but cute.

Thank you so much for stopping by and taking a look. Hope you are having a wonderful weekend, and I'll see you around.

I'm so sorry...

This is Sam (Ella's brother). You can take a better look here and to the rest of the amazing digi stamp from Mo. He's a cutie and he was so fun to color. As you can see I'm getting into stamping. I'm really liking it a lot, and it's so less time consuming that scrapbooking. I'm still learning when it comes to coloring with Copics, but I guess practice will do it.

Thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow with another card with an image from CC Designs.

Happy Friday and I hope you enjoy the weekend.

Inspirational Thursday

Strong Women

Strong women are those who know the road ahead will be strewn with obstacles, but they still choose to walk it because it's the right one for them.

Strong women are those who make mistakes, admit to them, learn from those failures, and then use that knowledge.

Strong women are easily hurt, but they still extend their hearts and hands, knowing the risk and accepting the pain when it comes.

Strong women are sometimes beat down by life, but they still stand back up and step forward again.

Strong women are afraid. They face fear and move ahead to the future, as uncertain as it can be.

Strong women are not those who succeed the first time. They're the one who fail time and again, but still keep trying until they succeed.

Strong women face the daily trials of life, sometimes with a tear, but always with their heads held high as the new day dawns.

This is to all those wonderful women in my life and out there. Cheers to you!

Everything will be ok...

Let me introduce you to Ella...and as you can see she's in trouble. :-) Isn't she adorable. This is another digi stamp from Mo. I tell you I love every single image that she draws. Amazing talent this girl has. You really can't see in this picture but I put diamond glaze to mimic mirrors, and in RL it looks very cute.

Hope you are enjoying your Wednesday - just two more days for the weekend. Yay! Blessings to all...see you tomorrow with some inspirational words.

Forever Friends...

I'm really loving Mo's images...she really has a talent. This image is her Friday's child image that you can find here. I colored her with Copics and used some Bittersweet papers from Basic Grey. Isn't she adorable?? I also used sketch #60 of Taylored Expressions for inspiration.

Thanks for stopping by and happy Tuesday,

Weekly Challenge #16 - Ad Inspiration

Good morning and happy Monday to all! How was your weekend? My weekend was wet and dreary. It's been raining all weekend here in NY. However, we went to CT to meet our new nephew who was born two weeks ago and is adorable. Will share pictures once I upload them to my computer.

On to scrappy stuff, this week's challenge over at Apron Strings is an Ad Inspiration. I love the colors on this ad, so I took that as my starting and inspiration point. See card below.

Digital stamp from Mo's Digital Designs.

Noah Biorkman....

I heard about him over at one of the groups that I'm a member of...more information about him here. He is sick with cancer and is only 5 years old. All of you know this hits home. My sister had cancer when she was very little, and by the amazing miracle of our Lord she is a survivor (she's now 26 years old and expecting her first child). When I heard of this, I definitely had to do a card for him.

Here's the deal: apparently his parents or doctors (not knowing that only God knows this) think that Noah will not make it until Christmas...so, his parents decided to do an early Christmas. People from all over the world are sending him cards and gifts for this early Christmas.

All of you that know me, know that I'm a very sensible gal and this broke my heart. However, I have so much faith in our God and I know that he can do miracles....and I put Noah and his family in HIS hands...and they are definitely in my prayers.

Here's the card:

For this card I used an image from Mo's Digital Pencils and is available here. I also used sketch #78 from Taylored Expressions. Hope you are all having a fantastic Saturday. Today we are off until tomorrow to Connecticut to visit the new addition to the family: my hubby's cousin baby boy. See ya,

Bundle up...baby its getting cold...

Although the weather has been beautiful lately here in New York, I know that winter is slowly approaching...not a happy camper on that end...but I will definitely enjoy whatever is left of fall.

Today, I have a card for you that I made for challenge #15 over at Apron Strings...hop on over there so you can see what I'm talking about. I used an image of CC Designs that I bought at All that Scraps right here.

Hope you have a great weekend,

Inspirational Thursday

When I woke up this morning lying in bed, I was asking myself; What are some of the secrets of success in life? I found the answer right there, in my very room.

The fan said...be cool
The roof said...aim high
The window said...see the world
The clock said...every minute is precious
The mirror said...reflect before you act
The calendar said...be up to date
The door said...push hard for your goals

and not to forget the carpet that said...kneel down and pray.

Carry a heart that never hates, carry a smile that never fades, carry a touch that never hurts.

Have a purposeful day,

Some pictures of ...

the day we went bowling with some of my daughter's friends for her birthday. This year we decided that we are not going to have any more big parties for our daughter. She's already 7 years old, parties are very time consuming and lots of $$$$$...which we don't seem to have enough lately. So, instead we took some of her friends bowling. In total there were 7 kids including my daughter and my son; and they definitely had a blast. Take a look:

The Crew (kids only)

Yarelis with the ball that's bigger than her

Shawn with his beautiful smile (this little guy played awesome and he didn't even know it, lol)

Yarelis hoping for a strike :-)

Yarelis with Us

Take a look at Shawn's shoes....he's rocking

The kids with my Mom (so grateful that she went to help me out with all the kiddos)

We really had a blast, and so did the kids. Afterwards, we took the kids to McDonald's to eat and that was it. She really enjoyed her day, which I'm grateful. She really didn't miss her parties. :-)

Have a good night everyone,

A little late... :-)

Yes, I'm a little late posting these two cards, tehee, but wanted to share anyways. Here are two Halloween cards that I made with two digi stamps from All that Scraps from C.C. Designs. I also used sketch 60 and 67 from Taylored Expressions. I colored both images with Copics....I'm hooked. :-)

Hope you are enjoying your week, and continue to do so. See ya around.

Weekly Challenge #14 - Color Inspiration

Good morning, everyone! How was your weekend? Did you go trick or treating? Here's my Cinderella and my Iron Man...aren't they the cutest???? ( just a tiny bit biased ;-) ). Looking at this picture is bittersweet...looking at my daughter with a little bit of makeup makes me realize how time is slipping right off my fingers, and how's my baby is turning into a beautiful little girl.

Now, on to this week's challenge over at Apron Strings is a Color Inspiration. I used many colors in this combo, but for the challenge you don't have to use them all, you have to use minimum 3 colors.

And here is my take. I used September '09 Smaller kit...love these papers from Pink Paislee.

Well, if you want to play please join us over at Apron Strings blog...and see ya tomorrow with a card I did with the scraps from this LO.
Happy Monday,
