I think I'm getting....

the bug. I feel horrible, my throat and my back are killing me. I just want to be in bed. I think is the weather changing, it's starting to cool here in NY and I'm not good with weather changes. I'm at work now and needless to say that I want to go home. I'm so happy because I finally got in touch with my friend Anke, I had missed her so much at the AS MB and I decided to leave a comment on her blog, beautiful digi work by the way, I'll post the link another time, I'm at work and I don't have the address now. Anyway, it was good to hear from her.

On another note, my friend Amy gave birth to a baby girl....I gotta make her a card, will definitely do so during the weekend. Her baby is beautiful...well all of her kids are....but it doesn't surprise me because she is beautiful as well.

Now, to my baby boy, he's started Pre K and he was giving such a hard time in the mornings and he wasn't following instructions at school....he was saying NO to everything. Something that had me a little bit upset. It was breaking my heart, but he's much, much better and that makes this Mommy happy. I'm having lunch right now and the food doesn't even taste like anything. I hate when I'm sick because it just brings me down. Eecch!!! Can't wait to get better. Ciao!!!

Cards and some scrapping

I'll start sharing some LO's that I've made for Valerie & Janna's Got Sketch 102 class. The first and second LO is from my aunt's birthday back in November 2007. We went to a restaurant in the city named Sofritos and we had a blast. She really enjoyed it and they gave her many presents. I kept the journaling minimal.

This one below is from when my daughter was 6 months and holding her bottle. This was back in 2003, in just one more month my daughter is going to be 6 years and oh gosh, it seems like yesterday I brought her into this world. As you can see with this LO, I'm very behind. This is another LO based on a sketch in Val and Janna's class. I'm loving that class.

This one here is from when we went to Great Adventure, NJ last year, we try to go at least once a year because the kids love it. That was the year that they had the Wiggles show for the first time and the kids had a blast. Sorry for the poor quality of the photos, is that since I mostly scrap at night that's when I usually post my work.

Now to the cards. Today we are going to a birthday party so, I made a card for the birthday girl. Very simple, just some stickers of the Little Mermaid and voila, in less than 10 minutes I was done.

Ok, so this is something very special. My mother-in-law's birthday is the 23rd so my daughter made her a card. This was the result. I'm sure her grandma (which she calls bueli) is going to love this card as much as I do :-)

That's a birthday cake, Yarelis (my daughter), her grandma (the birthday girl according to Yarelis, see below), and of course don't mind the red clouds. :-D
This is the message inside....my MIL will be forty something but she's still a birthday girl in my daughter's eye, isn't that cute and sweet! LOL

Remember, I mentioned in the previous post that one of the owners of the kit club gave birth to a baby boy, well this is the card that I made for her. I hope she likes it, I'm mailing it today. Another of the ladies at the club gave birth yesterday to a baby girl, so I will work on a card for her as well. Will post when done.

And finally, the card I made for my MIL - this is based on a sketch in the CSAD blog of Susie, CSAD #18 to be specific and I new that it would be perfect for her card.

Well, that's pretty much it. I just have to say one more thing...Michelle thank you for bringing a huge smile to my face. You know why I'm telling you this...and thank you for being such an amazing human being. I love to be surrounded by people like you even if it is through the distance, believe I still get the great vibes from people like you. Girl, you made my day!

Quick Note

Hi, everyone....I just wanted to drop by and say that for those interested in making cards for our troops you should head over to Susie's card sketch blog and there she has a link to how to send cards to our troops with instructions and all the details. The plus of this is that you can use her sketches, she has a new one every day, to create your cards. In my opinion, sending these troops cards is letting them know that we care, and that we are very grateful for what they do.

On another note, one of the owners of my the kit club that I sub gave birth Monday, and I will be making a card for her as well from one of Susie's sketches. I will post once I get it done. Also, I gotta tell you that I miss Debbie a whole bunch. I haven't taken one of her classes lately for several reasons: (1) time is limited and (2) and the main one budget is limited as well. But Debbie if you stop by and read this I want you to know that I miss you and that I hope to "see" ya soon. For anyone that's interested in her classes go check out her site you will not regret it.

Well, that's it for now. I'm at work, with a headache, it's only 10:09 am and I already want to go home. Oh, wait one last thing. I haven't mentioned that Shawn (my youngest) started Pre-K this year, and unfortunately for me he's having a hard time adjusting. Prayers are welcome for his fine adjustment sooner rather than later. Thanks!

Bab, bad, girl.....

That's all I can say about my blogging habits. It's been more than a month ago that I haven't posted anything here, and I'm sorry for that....life is just too busy. I'm not gonna go on saying all the to do's on my list because it's just not worth it. So, I'm taking the time instead to tell you that I'm excited...I feel like my kids in Toys R' Us....yes I do. Why? Because I'm going to make cards for Susie's new blog, come check it out here. She is an amazing sketch artist, she does sketches for my kit club Apron Strings and for the Scrap Room kit club as well. She is amazing....did I mentioned that already? :-) Anyway, this is the first time that I decide to contribute in some way to this amazing hobby of scrapbooking and card making in someone's site. It's something I've always wanted to do, but I guess didn't have the gut to do it. Why now? Because Susie inspires me in such a way that I decided to give it a try. Wish me luck with this new journey, only God knows where it will take me. I will share some work that I did over the weekend for the Got Skecth 102 class. I'm having so much fun....you still can sign in so check it out here . There are some sneak peeks as well. BTW, Susie when are you teaching another sketch class??? Can't wait! Think about it, I can help you if you need any help.
